Trin-i-tee 5:7 Now A Duo

Hey Tojettes and Tojeknights. Happy Sunday!!!

I have just just read that Music World Gospel recording artists Trin-i-tee 5:7 last month announced their transition from a trio to a duo.

Trin-i-tee 5:7 (L to R: Adrian, Chanelle and Angel)

Original group members, Chanelle Haynes and Angel Taylor will move forward as a duo and Adrian Anderson will pursue other career opportunities. Adrian Who’s mother recently passed away officially joined the group in 2000 replacing Terri Brown.

Please check out the official press release from Music World Entertainment.

Those that know me well will be aware of my love and appreciation for Trini-tee 5:7. I have seen them three times in concert and possess every album. Their debute self entitled album was one of the first records that I purchased as  a teenager. Even with the line up change in the begninning I still enjoyed their music and followed their career, although When Matthew Knowles (Owner of Music World Entertainment) signed them to his label a few years ago I was a little concerned about the groups future. The group first signed to B Rite Music and were regarded by some as the Destiny’s Child of Gospel Music so I guess it was no surprise when they finally moved to their current label.

The news of the transition to a duo may not come as a surprise to most individuals as Angel and Chanelle can usually be heard on lead vocals on the bulk of Trin-i-tee 5:7 material.

Adrian was a big part of  Trin-i-tee 5:7 having recorded on most of their albums:

Trin-i-tee 5:7 has been the Best Selling Female Gospel Trio in music history. The GRAMMY Award nominated, Gospel Music Association’s Dove Award and Stellar Award winners have achieved unprecedented success in their career over the past decade. Trin-i-tee 5:7 derives its name from the Biblical book of St. John, chapter 5, verse 7-which encapsulates how the Father, Son and Holy Ghost cooperatively work on behalf of humankind. I pray that they continue to spread the love of Jesus in their music. I also wish Adrian a successful Beauty career as she is  an inspiring individual that deserves all the blessings coming her way.

Trin-i-tee 5:7’s current album  Love, Peace, Joy at Christmas is their first-ever holiday CD and bonus DVD.  The duo will release their forthcoming project, A New Day, in the first quarter of 2011 and so far I have heard that the recording is going well.

Please enjoy some of my favourote Trini-itee 5:7 videos which featured Adrian Anderson:
